Manual methods have been replaced by technology to give us detailed measurements to within 0.1 mm. The Impressionist 2, with its dual cameras calculate all the points of your frame so we can determine the centration of your lenses to give you the sharpest vision.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
The OCT provides a detailed examination of the retina. Early diagnosis of eye disease leads to early treatment which preserves and prolongs vision. Retinal layers are often affected in the early stages of macular degeneration and thinning of the nerve fibre occurs in glaucoma. An OCT provides detailed analysis of the retina and enables us to diagnose and track eye disease.
Digital Retinal Camera
An annual retinal scan is important for all adult patients. A retinal scan gives us a wide image of the back of the eye. It aids in the diagnosis and tracking of glaucoma, macular degeneration, ocular melanoma and diabetic eye disease.
